Apple Unveils New App Tracking Permissions As Part of iOS 14.5 Update:

On 26th April 2021, Apple launched iOS 14.5 & iPadOS 14.5 with plenty of updates, which mainly includes its controversial “App Tracking Permissions”.

Apple has first officially unveiled iOS 14.5 & iPadOS 14.5 in February. Since then, the operating system is experiencing several updates as it worked on refining specifications and removing bugs.

On Monday, Apple Inc. officially unveiled the update for all Apple iPhone & Apple iPad Users. To download its new updates, you can go to Settings > General > Software Update. Before installing its all-new updates, make sure to keep the backup of devices.

The most remarkable and controversial option included in the all-new update is “App Tracking Transparency” (ATT). And so, any new app submissions will require complying with its app tracking prompts. For these features, developers need to gain the permission of users in order to track their activities while using Apple iPhones & iPads.

Apple has clarified its all-new updates with a statement, which reads, “App Tracking Transparency requires apps to get the user’s permission before tracking their data across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising, or sharing their data with data brokers. Apps can prompt users for permission, and in ‘Settings’, users will be able to see which apps have requested permission to track so they can make changes to their choice at any time.”

You can get its new setting in Settings > Privacy > Tracking after installing all-new updates. If you permit apps to ask to track the device, you can see prompts when you install updated apps requesting authorization to track your activities. If you aren’t permitting apps to ask for your consent, all apps will robotically be blocked from tracking.
